If you weren't able to make it along to the Division B workshops and contests on Saturday, I'm afraid that you missed out!
Errol did Excalibur and Area 45 proud with his third place in the International Speech Contest. Sadly he won't now be moving on to the next round, but he was faced tough competition from Nkem Anagor, who will be representing Division B at the D91 Conference next month.
Our Area 45 representative in the Evaluation Contest, Mindy, also did us proud with her 2nd place in the contest. Simon Simpson goes on to represent Division B at the D91 Conference.
I have to say that the line-up for the Spring Conference feels somewhat like an Excalibur workshop...!
- Richard Fallon is holding a workshop on being “Centred, calm, connected – vital communication when the heat is on.”
- Lynne Cantor is holding a workshop on “Speaking without words – the power of silent communication”
- Bob Ferguson is Sunday's keynote speaker with “Communication – doesn’t it just take the biscuit!”
- Other sessions from friends of Excalibur include: Bob Nisbet (“Could you be a leader?”), Paul Carroll (“Handle Q & A with confidence”), Simon Bucknall (“Professionally speaking…Lessons learnt on the journey from amateur club to professional circuit”), Ian Hawkins and Al Cowie (“Improv for Toastmasters”) and Chris Boden (“From inspiration to celebration”)

Location: The Grange City Hotel, 8-14 Cooper’s Row, London, EC3N 2BQ

In addition to countless inspirational workshops and speeches (I am still working out how I can be in two places at once!), there is the District Council Meeting, the District Contest Finals for International Speech and Evaluations, and a thrilling Gala Dinner. AND it is in Central London for the first time in eons. What more reason do you need?
If you are looking for more fill from Excalibur Speakers before then, please come along to our Business-Skills Workshop, this Thursday at 12.00-13.00. Further information can be found in my last blog.
I look forward to seeing you there, then.
Best wishes,
Cat Kipling
