Congratulations to our President, Chinkata
Okpara, who won the district evaluation during the spring conference. IPP
as well as TME, Lynne Cantor drew
our attentions with her shiny microphone and introduced the word of the day: Champion!
Ben Starling warmly invited guests to talk about themselves. Robin Alcott served
as a timekeeper.
Table Topics session
Table Topic Master as well as Present-to-be in Excalibur, Monika
Swiderska proposed various questions related to the conference.
Cat Kipling stated that she would like to have a super power which can transport
herself to anywhere at any time. David Adam enjoyed her deliveries.
Speaking of the best memory in the childhood, Carol West addressed overcoming
the difficulties in her diabetes disease. Freddie Daniells thought her
speech fabulous and inspiring and recommended to use more stages.
Director-to-be of Division L, Marcin Tolysz totally agreed with what
the current CEO of Toastmaster have done so far. Ben Starling liked
his warm smiles.
When encountering some annoying audience, Brain
Skelton figured out several brilliant ideas to deal with them. Chinkata
Okpara found her reasons meaningful and suggested avoided swaying the
body. In spite of two hours of commuting, Anne Bingham followed her
inner voice to join the meeting. Carolina Castillo was fond of
the descriptive way to address her feeling. Concerning the terrible experience
of his breakfast in the company, Lukasz Karwacki would recommend to
have an Asian food instead. David Lennon enjoyed the
statements.
Prepared Speeches!
Errol Williamson converted his frustration experience in
Evaluation contest to a humorous and inspiring speech on the topic “I
thought I was fraud, it seems I was not.” Evaluator Nick Westall enjoyed
his use of phrases and constructive hero journey. David West embarked on the
journey of PATHWAYS under the title “My Speaking Debut.” Evaluator David Lennon loved his flow
and dialogues with his teacher and suggested to learn the best time for silence
on the stage. Ian Etherson painted an authentic picture of
raising his children. Evaluator Noor Khan really liked
his detailed descriptions and recommended to use the stage wisely.
Open Feedback:
Eva Yang clearly and
succinctly drew out audience commendations and recommendations for both
speakers.
IPP as well as TME, Lynne Cantor conducted the
elections of Excalibur Committee successfully. Moreover, Marcin
Tolysz was promoted to be the coming Division L Director and earned an
award of “Home Club of the Division
Director” to Excalibur.
