We met on 23rd January for another high quality, fun filled evening of public speaking.
Lukasz performed the Meet & Greet role, and Nick called us to order before our President, Monika took to the stage. She introduced Nick, who was our dual-tasking Toastmaster for the evening.
Anke, our Timekeeper, explained the mystery of the coloured lights, before David presented an unusual and challenging (which is as it should be for a advanced club!) Table Topics session, based on tarot cards.
Our first speaker was Sue - with a speech titled "I was 15" (Presentation Mastery - 2 - Evaluation and Feedback).
Our second speaker was Melanie - with "Not Just Public Speaking" (Public Relations - 1 - The Goodwill Speech).
Ian then took to the stage with "Schedules and Software Quality" (Speaking to Inform - 1 - The Speech to Inform).
The speeches were evaluated by Ben, Freddie and Ken before our Open Feedback session, which Monika took.
Errol then delivered the general evaluation. All noted that it was an evaluation of note, as he delivered it without notes.
Our guest Chris won Table Topics (for the second time!). Best evaluator was Freddie and Melanie won best speaker.
Our next meeting is 13th February, at 19:00 at The Fitzrovia Community Centre, 2 Foley Street, W1W 6DN. Guests are very welcome!
