Speak Out report for 23 October 2014

A very intimate Speak Out session took place at the Concert Artistes Association last month, with jovial Toastmaster for the day being Immediate Past President Andrew and featuring speeches from members Tony W, Marc and Jane.

Tony, whose speech was based on Project 5 from the Storytelling manual, spoke about the history of The Music Hall, which was apt considering the venue we were in!

Marc performed Project 4 from the Speciality Speeches manual and delivered a chilling talk on the day in the life of a slave in the USA in 1846.

Jane's speech was given for Project 5 from the Interpretive Reading manual, and was a famous speech by Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc., that was delivered with great passion.

After individual evaluations, Daniel superbly led an open feedback session. Finally, we had time for one table topic that was handled by Anne, in which she spoke of recent health issues.

Next meeting

Our next regular meeting is on Wednesday, 12^th November at the Fitzrovia Community Centre. Arrive from 6:45pm for a prompt 7pm start.
